Glass bottle lamp projects and I saw a lamp and I love the idea so for starters, you're going to take a glass drill bit and some water and you're going to drill a Hole in the base of the lamp, so we're going to start with the smallest bit and typically your drill bits will have graduated sizes, sometimes up to four bits, and so what you want to do is start with the smallest one and work your way up to the biggest one till you get to the point where your cord will fit through all the while you're spraying water.
So that it keeps your bit from getting too warm and cracking the glass. Now that we have our hole, drilled, we're going to go ahead and feed our cord up through the lamp. Now I've got this cord off of an old lamp.
You know that I save everything, but if you didn't have one or didn't feel comfortable with that, you can always find a kit at your local hardware store. They make a lamp adapter kit, so you're going to feed your cord through there. Now all that's left is to reattach it here to your socket, put a light bulb in it and a shade and you're set.
