Celia Spencer Table Lamp November 08th, 2018 - 22:51:01
The table lamp and to do that you just cut off the plug and then it can all pull out from there. I didn't feel like buying a new lamp kit, so I just took this ugly lamp apart and I took the hollow threaded rod that goes down the center of the lamp and cut off a piece.
This is what's going to attach our actual lamp to the base. My was to find the center of the base and drill a hole just big enough for that shaft to go through and on the other side of the base, I use the peddle bit and drilled a recess that way all of the hardware could go In and the base could sit flush, I also needed to make a grooves for the lamp cord to run through that way.
The lamp base could sit flush and I kind of rigged up this little thing with my drill to sand it down. Next, all I had to do was put it together, so I started with my threaded little bolt and then I put on the base and tightened it all up, and then all I had to do was reattach my plug to the cord and, as you can see Here I would cut the cord further back so that you actually had some wire that you could really work with, but anyways.
All I really did was take the two together and then use a heat gun to melt that electrical tape. All right, so that's it. I hope you guys enjoyed this project. I know it's a super simple project, but sometimes the simple projects turned out to be the coolest. It's really really awesome, and if you like this video don't forget to hit subscribe right here, because I put out a new project.
